Sheriff Warren E. Rupf has been with the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff for over forty years. He is currently the longest serving member of the agency. He has served at virtually every rank, in every assignment, beginning in 1965. Sheriff Rupf celebrated his 40th anniversary in November 2005

Sheriff Rupf is the President of the Micki Rainey Scholarship Fund. Past Board of Directors memberships include Suicide and Crisis Intervention as well as the Contra Costa County Fair. He is an active supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.

Sheriff Rupf is also a lifelong resident of Contra Costa County, and currently resides in Martinez with his wife, Carole.
