Special Benefit


The County will contribute one hundred fifty ($150) per month to an employee's account in the County Deferred Compensation Plan or other designated tax qualified savings vehicle, for employees part of the Management Resolution, Labor Coalition, Local 21, Probation Peace Officers Association, Deputy District Attorney, Public Defender and Public Defender Investigators according to the following schedule:

Requirements

The employee defers a minimum of twenty-five dollars ($25) per month to the Contra Costa County Deferred Compensation Plan or other designated tax qualified savings vehicle and must have an account set up with MassMutual.

Enrollment

Enrollment forms and information is located on MassMutual Forms page. If you are enrolling in the plan, please complete a) enrollment form, b) disclosure statement and c) beneficiary designation and return to Contra Costa County Employee Benefits Service Unit.

If you are already enrolled in the Deferred Compensation Plan and would like to begin contributing toward the Special Benefit you will need to access and enter your amount via the Employee Self Service (ESS) website https://selfservice2.cccounty.us

 


ELIGIBILITY FOR ALL

Employment Status

The employee is a permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee regularly scheduled to work at least twenty (20) hours per week and has been employed for at least ninety (90) calendar days;

If you are a re-hire or originally hired as a temporary employee, please contact Rowena at (925) 335-1752 to confirm eligibity.

If not currently enrolled in Mass Mutual Deferred Compensation account, you will be required to complete enrollment forms into the Deferred Compensation program prior submitting the Notification of Change-Deferred Compensation form.
